TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

I understand that:

 

A booking deposit of 30% of the charter fee must be paid now to the booking agent, Sailaway Scotland Yacht Charter Ltd (Sailaway), to reserve the yacht for my chosen dates.

 

The 70% balance of the charter fee will be payable 60 days before the charter start date.

 

Additionally, a security deposit will be payable no less than seven days before the charter start date. This will normally be refunded within seven days of the safe return of the yacht at the end of the charter period, less any deductions for fuel, damage, etc.

 

Once my booking is accepted I will sign a charter contract with the yacht owner in respect of this booking. The contract will be subject to Sailaway’s standard charter conditions, as set out in its website here.

 

I will also then complete a “charterer and crew details” form confirming sailing experience and qualifications, next of kin contact details, etc.

 

The booking deposit is non-refundable if I cancel or fail to complete payment. The balance of the charter fee will also be payable if I give less than 60 days notification of cancellation.

 

Sailing can be a dangerous activity and carries inherent risks, including of personal injury. It is recommended that I arrange travel insurance cover for cancellation and accident risks. Click here for more information.
