"Andrew, many thanks for your first class communications and preparation of Deep Blue for charter. Your overview of things and the documentation on board made easy work of familiarising the crew and I to the boat.

The week’s charter was great value for money and the final hand over and return of deposit was straightforward and prompt. We will certainly use Sailaway Scotland for our next charter, hopefully very soon!

Thanks again and kind regards."

Campbell Cromar, August 2021

Deep Blue is easy to handle in the marina with her powerful bowthruster, although we hope you’ll take the opportunity to try out some of the excellent local anchorages as well – made easy with her electric windlass.

Although Deep Blue is new to the Clyde cruising area she will feel right at home alongside her sister Sailaway 46 footer, Calico Moon. If you are a large group or a corporate charter, these boats might be just what you are looking for.

The Bavaria 46 Cruiser’s well designed layout lends itself to convivial evenings in the saloon or in the large cockpit. Helpfully, Deep Blue’s bimini cockpit cover is easy to erect quickly, providing cover from sun if it’s too hot (and rain if it’s too wet !)

Deep Blue has a well equipped and spacious galley area with two fridges, gas cooker and ample storage space adjacent to the saloon for both liquid and solid stores.

Accommodation wise she has four generously sized sleeping cabins – two large double cabins aft, a very large double cabin forward and a decently sized twin bunk cabin to port. Four of these berths convert to sea-going bunks should the need arise.

The saloon table can be lowered to create a further double bed if required.

Webasto ducted warm air heating means she is cosy any time of the year at the flick of a switch. All this is complemented by two generously sized heads/shower compartments and a good sized chart table.

Deep Blue carries all the required navigational aids – chart plotter, DSC VHF, wind and depth instruments, autopilot and also 2 way AIS.

Above decks, she has electric windlass, bowthruster, furling headsail and  furling mainsail, electric primary winches in the cockpit.

Deep Blue is a comfortable, spacious boat and a joy to sail!

"Hi Andrew,

Thank you for arranging our charter of Deep Blue, and for David Smith to act as our skipper. It was a pleasure meeting you and I am grateful to you for making the whole process of booking, hiring waterproofs, etc. so easy. As you know, we were all new to sailing - we had a wonderful week visiting Kintyre, Islay, Jura and Ardfern and only wished we had a month to do it in rather than a week. We certainly hope to book again soon.

Many thanks, Robert"
